Now that he was out from under the bili-light, Colin could start snoozing in some proper bedding.

Some kind anonymous soul walks the halls of the NICU late at night making placards with footie prints for the new ones. Warms your heart when you come in in the AM.

Nick came out for the first time today after dropping the ventilator.

Colin is sleepy and warm. He was also first out of the chamber after he left the ventilator.

Colin was the first to get off the ventilator and got comfy with the pacifier immediately after. "A" and "B" were no longer after today. Maybe we can still use those as nicknames later in life.

The proud parents, and something for scale. Nick was the bigger of two at 3 lb 10 oz with Colin coming in at 3 even. Nick came out with a few bruises so we think his smaller brother was practicing his beat-em-up tactics for later in life. The spooky blue lights are the anti-jaundice apparatus.

All - thanks for checking in. We've started a little photoblog so everyone can watch the first days of the little guys. These are from March 18, 2009 around and about 4:30 AM.

I'll confess I'm not 100% on which was which coming out of the OR, but on close inspection I believe the bottom is Nick - the second to arrive but the first to leave the room - and the top is Colin. Or, as they were properly known at the time, "B" and "A" respectively. It was a good first day.
